Our Staff

Sarah Athanas (Practice Manager) started at Ark Animal Hospital in 2011.  Her favorite part about work is being able to make sure the clinic is running smoothly to keep clients and their pets happy. Keeping employees happy and being able to provide a good working environment for all is also a daily goal that she likes to achieve!  At home she has 2 cats and 2 rabbits.  Taven (DLH), Mouse (DSH), Tonka (Continental Giant), and Moose (Mini Lop).  When not at work she loves to do outdoor activities.  A big activity she enjoys is going to the Hudson Valley Renegades Baseball with her Fiancé and best friends!

Becca Royden (LVT) started in 2008.  Her favorite part about working at Ark is being the dr.s right hand man.  Her favorite aspects are anesthesia and pain management.  At home she has 2 dogs.  Hodor (mixed breed), and Mildred (Chihuahua).  When not at work Becca enjoys gardening when its nice out, cuddle up with the dogs on the couch when its not.  She enjoys being a homebody and doing things around the house.

Carley Ronk (LVT) started in 2019.  Her favorite part about work is educating owners.  At home she has 3 cats. Honey (DLH), Cleo (DSH), and Ned (DLH).  When not at work she loves to garden and spend time outside.  

June Murphy (LVT) started in 2020.  Her favorite part about work is she loves working with animals and enjoys the clients, staff and doctors.  At home she has 1 dog and 4 cats.  Winnie (Dog), Felines- Henry, Troyer, Kirby and Elizabeth.  When not at work she loves to walk in the woods with her dog, choir, and reading mystery books.  

Abby Marino (Veterinary Assistant) started in October 2017.  Her favorite part about working at Ark is educating owners, caring for patients, and constant learning on the job.  At home she has 2 dogs.  Nero (Belgian Malinois)-aka her pride and joy, and Louie (Chihuahua)-aka the boss.  When not at work she loves to be outside or with her friends and family.

Alyssa Brownell (Receptionist) started in 2011.  Her favorite part about work is helping animals in need and educating owners on proper care.  She loves trying to make a difference in each animals life in the community.  At home she has 4 cats- Thora aka Stormie(DLH), Daniel (DSH), Kiya(DSH), and Josephine(DSH),1 Canine Toe Toe (Mixed Breed), Bird Bird (Bird) and Marjorie Dorthea(Turtle).  When not at work she loves hiking, family time, and going to the gym.

Dave Silvestri (Receptionist) started in 2020.  His favorite part about work is being able to help people with their animals wants and needs.  At home he has 3 cats.  Palpatine (DSH), Murloc (DSH), and Pickles (DSH).  When not at work he loves to go to The Hudson Valley Renegades Baseball and go to concerts.
